Night of the diabolical snores

A rumble growls from down the hall

Making me shake and feel quite small

Where’s my stink bear to protect me?

More rumbling and grumbling. What can it be?

Quiet! Someone’s opening my door!

Why did I leave my stink bear on the floor?

Now, there’s a shadow lurking into the room.

Another rumble! As loud as a thunder’s boom!

GGRRRRRAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

What is that frightening sound? A hungry bear? An angry lion? A scary monster sneaking out from the linen closet? With large claws and sharp fangs?

“AAH!”

Okay, I admit it!

This diabolical cutie is scared!!!!!

GGRRRRRAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

Where is my stink bear? Where is he? My favorite gift from Agent West, who will protect me and keep me safe? WHERE ARE YOU!?

Oh, no!

I remember now. I was tossing and turning. I couldn’t get to sleep. In a temper tantrum moment, I tossed my cuddly wuddly bear to the floor.

Is he still there? I crawl over and take a peek.

The room is so dark. I almost can’t see the floor. There! There is my little stink bear hiding next to my crib.

Oh, poop!

I need him to protect me. I want to squeeze my stink bear in close and have him keep me safe. I don’t even care if he accidentally lets off a toot in my face!

GGRRRRRAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

The monster is getting closer. I hear its feet stomping just outside my door.

“AHH!” I’m so scared!

CREEEEEAK!

Someone’s opening my door. The hinges creaking sends prickles through my skin. Suddenly, there’s a large shadow. So huge and scary. It’s lurking into my room!

Stink bear! I need you!

GGRRRRRAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

“AAH!”

“Oh, Sweetie,” Daddy’s voice soothes. I open my eyes and see him smiling down at me. “I’m sorry if I scared you.”

GGRRRRRAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

“AH!”

Daddy hurries to shut the door. “Sorry about that. Mommy’s got a little cold, so, now, she’s snoring loud enough to wake the whole world.”

GGRRRRRAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

That’s Mommy!?!?!?!?!?

GGRRRRRAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

Daddy bends over and picks up my little stink bear. “Here, Rosie. You dropped your teddy.”

GGRRRRRAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

“Man, your mom is snoring as loud as a train. Do you mind if I sleep in here, too?”

Daddy nestles down on the floor, right next to my little crib. With stink bear in my arms, I nestle down as well. Maybe I’ll finally get some sleep.

GGRRRRRAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

Maybe...
